Murdered: Soul Suspect
Murdered: Soul Suspect trailer - published by Square Enix 2015
I worked in a number or roles on Murdered. My primary role was as Game Director (aka Media Director) where I was responsible for the seamless integration of all the elements; fiction, cinematics, gameplay, UI, audio and art style, into a cohesive whole. I met daily with the Creative Director from Square Enix and the different teams to review and adjust the overall entertainment experience and pacing.
I directed half of the cinematics, designing them in the script and storyboard stage, shooting the mo-cap and VO, and following through with animation and camera direction. In this role I worked directly with the writer and animation team on a daily basis throughout the project. I directed the in-game animation for the main character as well as the NPCs.
I was also the art director through the vertical slice phase, establishing the basic look and feel of the world. The amazing Dennis Price took over as art director at that point and did an excellent job of realizing the world in its final form.
